Wrapping & Lamination Machines

Wrapping machines are designed for the gluing and application of veneer sheets (optionally paper or PVC foil or veneer from the roll) with EVA or PUR hotmelt glues applied with roller and independent melting unit on profiles made of particle board, MDF, etc. with changeable wrapping zone. While the machine is producing a type of profile, another wrapping zone is prepared to produce the next type of profile. The coupling of the wrapping units is done very fast, avoiding long production stops caused by the setting up of the molding rollers to produce a different profile type. The lamination process can be as basic as gluing two or more smaller pieces of wood together to construct a wider and larger component. Like finger jointing, laminated product can be stronger than solid wood and less likely to warp under stress. But lamination is more commonly used to apply a veneer or other surface to a substrate such as MDF to create a product with the appearance and appeal of a more expensive piece of wood with a lower price tag.
